RAMALLAH: Israel has handed Jordanian MP Imad Al-Adwan to Amman’s authorities, almost two weeks after his arrest for allegedly trying to smuggle weapons to the West Bank and Jerusalem. 

Al-Adwan was arrested on April 22 at the King Hussein-Allenby Bridge crossing. The Israeli General Security Service, Shin Bet, said 12 rifles and 194 pistols were found in his vehicle.

Both Israeli and Jordanian officials confirmed that Al-Adwan was returned to his home country to complete investigation and trial procedures.
